Gifu - Fashion, Food & Fun

A day in Gifu - city famous for Cormorant Fishing. Not forgetting the complete steak experience for this trip - Hida beef, which melts in your mouth.
Before that, let's take a look at my OOTD ;)
Necklace, Top & Shorts: ZARA; Shoes: ASOS

Highly recommended restaurant in Gifu - Senryu. On top of the amazingly delicious Hida beef, the traditional setting is the highlight as well. An old Japanese house alongside Nagara River with view on the Gifu castle, surrounded by the Japanese garden. You can see the garden from the earlier pictures ;) Here's the entrance to this authentic Japanese Restaurant.

Each table has it's own room to ensure privacy ;)
I have to say that every single small dish tasted exquisitely good!!

Highlight goes to this slab of beef which melts in your mouth!! The garlic on top of it balance off the grease just well. For a minute I thought it was the fats that we are going to eat.... haha
Not only we had our own room, we've got our own cook as well ;p
That's the garlic by the side ;)
Got to try the crunchy potato from Japan and the amazingly sweet onions.. Even the simplest ingredient tasted heavenly... ;)

Take a walk in the backyard after this sinful meal !!! ;p

It was indeed an experience with this restaurant but there is a price to pay as well. Be prepared to spend a min of 10,000yen per person for the cheapest set with no alcohol included. Well, no pain no gain right... :p

Gifu castle is located on top of Mount Kinka with a 360-degree panoramic view of the surroundings.
Right on top ;)
Breathtaking view from the castle <3
So, Gifu is famous for Cormorant Fishing. A traditional fishing method that uses trained cormorants to catch river fish, has been practiced along Nagaragawa River in Gifu City for over 1300years. Fishing is performed every evening from 11th May to 15th Oct. Here's a short video of the almost forgotten skill. 1 master per boat.

Hope you have been enjoying my fashion and travel posts ;) Love, xoxo

Before going to my featured look for this week, gonna share with you the hottest exciting news in the fashion industry..  Which is......
ALEXANDER WANG will be the next designer to create a collection for H&M. The young New York talent, who is also the creative director for Balenciaga, unveiled the new relationship - which will include a collection of men's and women's clothing, as well as his famed accessories.
Can't wait to get my hands on this fall collection, to be unveiled on 6th November 2014 !!! Get ready to stand in the queue fashionistas !!

Now here's my featured look this week ;) Hope you like it ...
Top: Zara, Jeans: Levis, Espadrilles: Zara, Geek Glasses: HongKong, Rings: Joelle Accessories / H&M

Here's a close up of my ringswag ;)

Had a great friday nightout with my lovely girlfriends at the Kinki bar.. ;)
I enjoy their company soooooo much ... <3

So this weekend was a lazy one...  Saving my energy for my tooth extraction on Tuesday.. Completely freaking out. 4 at one go, am not sure I can take it. Cheer for me ok.. !!! Braces should be on 2 to 3days after my extraction.. Will try to video the process for you guys.. hehehe

Still managed to have brunch at the famous Artichoke Cafe & Bar located in Middle road on Saturday. Well, it did not impress me though.. Fried Chicken tasted sweet due to the spice and the fries were soggy. For those who are not aware, this is a middle eastern restaurant famous for their brunch. I would say that they do have a nice concept and cosy place for brunch, food wise I still prefer Riders cafe. Here's a picture of what we had.

For the ambience, I would rate them 3.5/5 and food at 2.5/5.
What's your take on Artichoke cafe???

Have a great week ahead guys!!! Love.. <3
